African buffalo or Cape buffalo:

5-6 feet tall at the shoulder, 9-10 feet long, and 500-900 Kg. in weight; large, thick head with a bump of bone from which the horns that grow side-ways and curves upwards and again in-wards, wide forehead, long straight ears that spread to the sides of the face, relatively small eyes, blunt muzzle, short, thick neck, large, barrel-like body, long, slender but strong legs with hooves on feet, long, thin tail with a tuft of hair at the end; found in Africa; not closely related to the other buffalo

wild Asian water buffalo:

6 feet tall at the shoulder, 10-12 feet long, and 800-1200 Kg. in weight, large head with relatively short but wide, slightly upward curved horns, broad fore-head, forward-facing, clear, round eyes, large straight ears that spread to the sides of the face, longer muzzle, thick, short neck, large, barrel-shaped body, long, strong legs with hooves on feet, long, thin tail with a tuft of hair at the end; ancestor of the present ‘domestic Asian water buffalo’; very few numbers found in the wild; native to Asia; currently found only in small parts of Indian, Nepal, Bhutan and Thailand

5-6 feet tall at the shoulder, 8-9 feet long, and 300-600 Kg. in weight, slender in built, relatively narrow head and forehead, straight or curved horns, larger, straight ears that spread to the sides of the face, thick neck, round body, slender but strong legs with wide-splayed hoofed feet, 2-3 feet long thin tail with a tuft of hair at the end; found in most numbers in Asia, and few other parts of the world
