Kinds of Sentences

Statement Sentence:

(also called ‘Declarative Sentence‘ or ‘Assertive Sentence‘)

is a sentence which gives us some information — tells the listener about something.  Only a full stop (.) is used at the end of this sentence.

e.g.

The baby is crying.

I saw him while he was crossing the road.

She will get to work soon.
