“Spirit”, as a noun, is ‘a person’s qualities, such as character, attitude, determination, courage, intentions, endurance, i.e. the capacity to face physical and/or mental problems, that are not seen, but believed to exist in the mind; soul; mood = the act of feeling happy or sad on a particular occasion; the ideas, feelings, sentiments, beliefs, etc. of a group of people in a particular period of time, place; a strong alcoholic drink, such as brandy, rum or whisky; a liquid with a strong alcoholic base used for cleaning’; as a verb, it is ‘to take away someone or something from a place, usually someone in danger of being attacked or arrested, quickly and secretly’,
