spacious ~ specious
[different first vowel sound: the letter 'a' in 'spacious' rhymes with the letters 'ay' in "pay", and the letter 'e' in 'specious' rhymes with the letters 'ee' in "bee", and the letters 'cious' in both these words are said with 'shas' sound]
“Spacious” (adjective) means ‘(of a room, building or place) large, having plenty of space to move about’,
e.g.
Children need spacious bedrooms to move around freely.
Top executives of any large company are given spacious office-rooms.

“Specious” (adjective) means ‘(of some argument, logic, opinion, etc.) that seems/appears right or true but actually wrong and false’; ‘misleading’,
e.g.
In the Gaza Strip developments in the Middle East crisis, some politicians have come up with specious arguments.
