sew ~ sow ~ sow

Sew” (verb ~~~  sew – sewed – sewed/sewn – sewing , and rhymes with ‘so’) is ‘to join or fasten two pieces of cloth or leather, with stitches using a needle and thread or a machine called “sewing machine”; to finish a business agreement or plan and get the results one wants’,

Sow” (verb ~~~  sow – sowed – sown/sowed – sowing , and rhymes with ‘so’) is ‘to put seeds of plants/trees in the soil in order to grow new plants/trees; to do something now that will result in a bad situation in the future’,

sowing seeds

e.g.

Farmers begin to sow seeds in their fields at the onset of monsoon.

Gardeners are advised to sow seeds with a lot of space between one seed and the other for the plants to grow well in future.

He sowed the seed of doubt in our minds of the other members by not attending the meeting.
