“Scull”, as a noun, is ‘a small boat made of any light material for only one person, usually used in boat races; one of a pair of oars; a long pole with a flat end used for moving a boat on water’; as a verb, it is ‘to move a small boat with oars’,

e.g.
By studying the size and shape of a person’s skull, anthropologists can find out the origin, race and the time that person belonged to.
A lunatic in our locality killed several people bashing their skulls with an iron rod!
