“Scrub”, as a verb ~~~ scrub – scrubbed – scrubbed – scrubbing, is ‘to rub something hard with a stiff brush or some other rough material in order to clean a surface; to decide not to do something that has been planned before’; as a noun, it is ‘the act of cleaning something thoroughly with a stiff brush or cloth (usually singular)’,

We give the kitchen floor a good scrub once a week. (‘scrub’ – noun)
[“Scrubber”, in traditional sense, is not a brush used for cleaning a surface or kitchen utensils; it is a bad word used for a bad woman (prostitute) who has sex with a lot of men for money or for pleasure. ‘Scrubbing brush’ is a brush used for scrubbing floors or walls or any greasy surface in order to make it clean. However, in the present usage, 'scrubber' is used for a worker who scrubs floors and for a brush used for scrubbing things!]
