proposition ~ preposition

Proposition” (noun) is ‘a statement which is to be proved; a question or problem to which an answer or solution is to be found; a business offer; a suggestion or offer to have sex with someone’,

e.g.

An agent from the rival company has been trying to make a bad business proposition with our company.

A male colleague has made her an indecent proposition, and so she is furious with him.

Preposition” (noun) is ‘(in grammar of some languages) a word that is used before a noun or pronoun to show its relation to another word in an expression or a sentence’,

e.g.

“There is a book on the desk.”  In this sentence the word ‘ON’ is a preposition.
