pronounce ~ pronunciation
“Pronounce” (verb — with the sound of the word ‘noun’) is ‘to say something openly; to say something officially (to declare); to make the sound of a word’,
e.g.
The judge pronounced the judgement.
The letter ‘K’ in the word ‘knee’ is not pronounced, but it is pronounced in ‘king’.

e.g.
