pizza ~ piazza
[‘pizza’ is pronounced (roughly) ‘pee-tsaw’, but not ‘pijja’; and ‘piazza’ with an “a” sound between ‘p’ and ‘tsa’ (roughly) like “pi-a-zaw” -- please, listen to the videos you see on the right of this text]
“Pizza” (noun) is ‘a piece of bread dough layer or pastry baked with cheese, tomatoes, and some other vegetables, or meat/chicken on top of it, in the shape of a plate’,
a delicious pizza, ready to be eaten
e.g.
You look hungry. Would like to have some pizza?
You can get any variety of pizza at the ‘Pizza Hut’ round the corner.

a piazza in San Gimignano, a small hill town in the province of Siena in north-central Italy
e.g.
