any kind of pet animal whose breed (the breed of its mother and father) is not known or not recognised by the authorities

(B)

(also ‘mixed-breed dog’, ‘mutt’, ‘tyke’, ‘cur’, ‘bitzer’, ‘feist’, ‘random-bred dog’, ‘street dog’)

any domestic dog without any speciality and/or not belonging to any particular breed of dog  (whose mother and father are not known or recognised) – {It may be a cross between different breeds, but not even a single breed quality is see clearly!}

It is known that a mongrel (dog) can withstand to any hardship, but very difficult to manage!

(a)  {especially Australian usage} a man of low social status; a man of indecent behaviour, without proper manners or morals; a man with inferior qualities

(b)  something made up of things (or parts of) from different sources; something that is without standard norms or qualities
