logger:

(the letters ‘gg’ rhyme with the letter ‘g’ in “gun”)

{also called ‘fallers‘ on logging sites}

two loggers felling a tree

a person whose job is to cut down trees; a lumberjack

{‘Log’ as a noun is the large thick part of a tree trunk or branch, and ‘to log’, as a verb, is to cut down and move trees as a job; and ‘log’, in a different context, is also to used to refer to the recorded details and the book the records entered of a ship’s journey and other vehicles, and ‘to log’ is to enter day to day details in a log book.  And of course, “to login” is the act of entering into a website on a computer.}

[Return to "lumberjack".]
