invaluable ~ valueless:

{Note: ‘Invaluable’ is not the opposite (antonym) of “valuable”. In fact, it is quite the other way round: something or someone ‘invaluable’ is very, very valuable.  We cannot use it in the same way as we do with ‘decent X indecent’ which is accepted.}

___________

Invaluable” means ‘(of qualities) very useful; very valuable for the worth or usefulness to be estimated or measure’,

(A torch light is a common invaluable device.)

e.g.

We are grateful to you for your invaluable help.

The scientists were delighted to have such an invaluable piece of information.

____________________

Valueless” is, of course, the opposite (antonym) of ‘value’, and it means ‘(of things) having little or no value in terms of money, importance, or usefulness’,

(a customer showing valueless gift cards from a bank)

e.g.

The scientists were greatly disappointed to have such a valueless piece of information after so much effort.
