a kind of sea fish – belongs to the flatfish – both eyes are on one side of  the head; grows to 5-15 long (some may grow to 3 feet in length) and weighs 5-15 Kg. – females are larger than males; feeds on (eats) other fish’s eggs, small fish, crabs, clams, prawns; found on the bottom of the seas of the world

Special Features:

Though not an important one, the flounders are a source food.

As a flounder lies down on one side of its body on the bottom of the sea, it has both its eyes on one side of its head!
