emotionalist:

(plural: ‘emotionalists‘; for the right pronunciation of this word, please click here)
a person who shows strong feelings or shows too much emotion and yields to it too much;

a person who reacts as per his emotions rather than his logic or reason,

an emotionalist (reacting angrily)

e.g.

John is noted for being an emotionalist in our forum; however, everybody knows that he’s a simple but strong positive point in every of his argument!

An emotionalist is the one who is excited by the volume or the quantity rather than the substance or purpose of an issue. For example, a person who attends a spiritual/religious seminary and marvels at the turn out and is excited about the grandeur of the attendees and the arrangements at the seminary rather than reasoning out the purpose of the seminary and the outcome, i.e. whether anybody has learned anything from it or not can be called an emotionlaist!

It’s very difficult, of not impossible, for an emotionalist to survive in politics because in all most all the cases, ‘compromise’ and ‘tact’ are the tools that make a politician climb high in the political hierarchy but not emotion or conscience.

According to some psychologists, emotionalists are nothing less than sensationalists.
