e.g.
James is an efficient and no-nonsense electrician in our neighbourhood.
A good electrician is like a good doctor who does not compromise when comes to the safety of the people that use the electrical appliances he/she fixes or installs.
Electricians must be extremely careful at work as their negligence not only puts them in danger but also causes a lot of loss and anxiety to their customers.
When people hire electricians, what they should bear in mind is to check whether the electricians are qualified or not, and, more importantly, whether they belong to a recognised union or not.

Note: An electrical engineer, on the other hand, is a qualified person who knows how to design and maintain electrical systems, e.g. “When you want to have electrical wiring done to a building, first you go to an electrical engineer who, after knowing your requirement, designs the blue print and recommends the equipment needed, estimates the cost of installation and suggests safety precautions, and, after buying the required equipment and wires, you then hire an electrical contractor or directly hire one or more electricians who do the actual wiring and installation of the equipment, following the electrical engineer’s specifications!” For an article on the job of an electrical engineer, please click here.
