elector:

(plural: ‘electors‘; pronunciation; the letter ‘c’ is said with a ‘k’ sound)

a person, a citizen, who is eligible and has the legal right to vote in any general election; a voter;
(in the USA) a member of the electoral college (electoral college = a group/body of electors which is chosen to  elect the president and the vice-president of the USA),

an elector casting her vote in a ballot box

e.g.

After registering herself as an elector, Julia started going through the profiles of the candidates contesting and the manifestos of the several political parties.

With the young electors support him, Mason was confident of winning the election with a lot of majority.

Opinions of the political experts divide widely on the popularly believed notion that elderly electors vote for senior members on the list of candidates and the young electors choose the young candidates irrespective of their abilities or past political records!

Though it’s against the law to bribe the electors during an election, almost all the candidates and the political parties try their best to lure electors with empty and extravagant promises and money!
