Don’t you ever go Sammy for any favour; he’s a notorious egoist anyone has ever seen!
Though many of our friends say that Dolly is an egoist, I personally feel that she’s just arrogant, expressing her views openly and freely.
There is a difference between people with strong opinions and people with selfishness, and I always wonder if it is right to call those with strong opinions ‘arrogant’ and those with selfishness ‘egotists’.
Note: This word expresses a higher degree of having or showing selfishness and pride; therefore, it should not be used for expressing relatively less serious or harmful qualities of a person — less harmful or serious qualities are: being proud, headstrong, careless, boastful, etc.
