Easterner:

(plural: ‘Easterners‘; the opposite word in meaning is ‘westerner’)

(in American usage) a person who lives in or comes from the eastern part of a country, especially the eastern part of the United States of America;

any person living in the eastern part of his/her country or region,

e.g.

Mark is an easterner and so most of his colleagues find it difficult to move with him freely.

Wherever you’re on this earth you’ll notice that there are differences and enmity between easterners and westerners… of a region, a state or a country, though they belong to the same religion!

Basing on the existing habits and cultural differences, my cousin refused to marry an easterner and her decision led to a communal fight between easterners and westerners.
