dual – duel:
[the same pronunciation; the letters 'dua' and the letters 'due' rhyme with the word "due"]
“Dual”, an adjective, means ‘having a double character or nature; consisting of two parts; double’,
e.g.
The twin brothers felt that the dual control of the family business was a big strain.
My son has dual nationality, of Britain and India. [i.e. he is the citizen of Britain and the citizen of India]

“Duel” means ‘a fight arranged between two men, mostly for girls, in olden days, and the participants in a ‘duel’ are called “duellers“’,
e.g.
Young men fought duels to win the hearts of beautiful girls in olden days.

Alexander Hamilton was an American statesman. Aide-de-camp to General George Washington during the American Revolution. First Secretary of the Treasury. Mortally wounded in a duel with Vice President Aaron Burr in Weehawken, New Jersey, on July 11, 1804.
