“Die” as a verb, means ‘to stop living; become dead; expire’; ‘want something very much; need something very much’

and as a noun, it means ‘a stamp for embossing (= to press a shape) paper, or making a coin or medal’ – the plural being ‘dies’; ‘a small cube of wood, plastic or bone with dots of different number on each side which is used in playing a gambling game, usually played with two cubes’ – with plural form “dice”‘
e.g.
The young patient died of fever. [stopped living]
The candle light is dying out. [stopped glowing]
I am dying to know the truth! [very much interested]
New money coins are died every year. [metal pressed into shape]

“Dye”, as a verb, means “to give some colour to something, such as cloth, hair, etc. and sometimes, to take out colour and give some other colour by a substance which is also called ‘dye’”; and as a noun, it is ‘a liquid or powder substance which is used to give or take out the colour of something’,
e.g.
She dyed her grey hair with henna.
