a person who demonstrates (to demonstrate, in this context = to show or explain something clearly using relevant examples and things, and ‘demonstration’, also called ‘demo’, in short = the act of showing or explaining);

a person who participates in a demonstration; a protester; an agitator (‘demonstration’, in this context = the act of showing one’s dislike on a large scale, usually a large group of people against some government policies, and ‘to demonstrate’ = to show one’s dislike);

a qualified person who helps a professor by doing practical work with students in school or college laboratory,

e.g.

After finishing his course in lab technology, Ben has worked in a college laboratory as a demonstrator.

An agricultural or farm demonstrator is a qualified person who explains to the farmers the new and advanced methods of cultivating crops.

Nine out of ten times a peaceful demonstration turns violent and the demonstrators are either arrested or tear-gassed or pepper-sprayed.
