defensible – defensive:

“Defensible” means ‘something that can be kept safe from harm, or that can be protected against attack’; ‘a means of defense’
e.g.
Our enemies were stationed at a defensible position; there was no way we could attack them.

“Defensive” means ‘something that is for attacking, or something that defends, protects something else’, (the opposite word in meaning to ‘defensive’ is “offensive”)
e.g.
His opponent played a defensive play.
