decease  –  disease:

[slightly different pronunciation]

Decease” means ‘death of a person (a very formal word for “death” and “die”, and ‘deceased’ is the person who died, usually used in a court of law)’,

e.g.

After their father’s decease, the sons divided the property among themselves.

[i.e.  after their father’s death, the sons …]

Disease” means ‘sickness of a person, animal or plant caused by infection or malfunction of certain parts, but not by accident’,

e.g.

Lung diseases take a long time to cure.
