debunker:

(plural: ‘debunkers‘; pronunciation: the letter ‘u’ rhymes with the letter ‘u’ in “but” or the letters ‘bun’ rhyme with the word “bun”)

a person who exposes (makes everybody know) the falseness of somebody or something or removes some nonsense or useless/misleading matter from something, such as irrelevant or indecent material from a text or speech,

James Randi, a magician & debunker

e.g.

A debunker exposed the false ‘HIV-cure miracle drug’, i.e. a person made everyone know that the drug called ‘HIV-cure’ was a false drug.

Whenever there is a new scientific theory suggested by some scientist, there is a debunker who tries to debunk that theory.

It is to be understood that most debunkers are people with little patience and sharp tongue, who, like a cats, react without considering the pro and cons of an issue.

R.I.P. Henry Gordon, a debunker
