political debaters — Obama & Mrs. Clinton

e.g.

Nikki is the best debater of our school, and we are sure to win a debate when she’s there.

A debater becomes a loud-mouth when he/she loses control and starts to argue rather than to discuss, and consequently, loses not only the point in question but also the judges’ votes.

Most schools have debate or elocution clubs where students get a chance to train themselves to be good debaters.

Politicians are supposed to be good debaters as they must express their point of view clearly and knowledgeably.
