daydreamer:

(plural: ‘daydreamers‘; pronunciation: ‘day…dreamer’)

a young daydreamer, dreaming of becoming a star player

 

a person who has a pleasant dream-like set of thoughts during waking hours;

a person who keeps thinking about some pleasant things, as if he/she were in a dream, when he/she is supposed to be doing something important

a daydreamer, imaging doing great things in the office but not doing anything

e.g.

I think I’m a daydreamer, always imagining that my ideas would come true one day and I’d be a famous person.

Studies have shown that most girls are daydreamers, dreaming about things they want done but never attempting to do them.

It is not uncommon to see a couple of daydreamers in every office, who actually spend their time thinking about their becoming a big shot in the office, but actually stay in the same position or even get fired for not doing anything constructive!
