e.g.

Marty was a dayboy and when he reached his higher grades, he felt that much of his precious time was wasted on commuting, and so he convinced his parents and stayed at school as a boarder.

As cities are growing more and more congested and the crime rate is on the rise, most parents these days admit their daughters in boarding schools as day girls to avoid the troubles of transport and safety risks.
