(plural: ‘dairymaids‘/milkmaids‘; pronunciation: ‘dairy…maid’/'milk…maid’)

a woman who works on a dairy farm;

(old usage) a woman who supplies or sell cow/buffalo milk to others,

a dairymaid at work

e.g.

After working as a dairymaid on her father’s dairy farm for four years, Angelia left her village to do a course in dairy products in an institution run by animal husbandry department.

John has a large dairy farm and he employees three dairymaids to milk his cows and store the milk that he and his wife sell in the city.

As the life of a dairymaid is as difficult as it is of a farmer, more and more village girls are shunning the family dairy trade altogether and are going to the cities to work as barmaids and waitresses.
