constructor:

(also very less commonly, ‘constructer’; plural: ‘constructors‘; pronunciation: both the letters ‘c’ are said with a ‘k’ sound as in “kong”)

a person (or a firm or company) that builds houses, buildings and other constructions;

a builder,

a mega construciton project undertaken by Indian constructors in the Gulf (construction workers at work, in the foreground)

e.g.

Peterson is a constructor and he has a construction company that has construction projects in several large and small cities in our state.

There are several types of constructors: house constructors that build houses in residential areas; bridge constructors that undertake projects involving bridges, mostly government projects; hotel constructors who specialise in building cost-effect but grand hotels, and so on.

The constructors who undertake mega projects, usually the government projects, on contract basis are in a high risk category because when there is a financial crisis or a political disturbance that might change the governments, the constructors lose their contracts and it will be ages before they get compensation from the new government, if at all they get any!
