comportment – compartment

“Comportment” is ‘the behaviour, manner, conduct of someone’,
e.g.
He was not re-elected as the chairman of the committee because his comportment had not suited with his position. [i.e. he did not behave with dignity or show wisdom as was expected of a chairman]
“Compartment” is ‘one of the many parts or divisions into which some enclosed space is divided, as in a container or a railway carriage’,
e.g.
The train ticket examiner moves from compartment to compartment in the carriage checking passengers’ tickets.
