Chihuahua
a kind of dog – mammal – small, with a small body but a large round head and widely spaced eyes and large ears; grows to 6-10 inches tall at the shoulder and weighs 2-5 Kg.; lives for 10-20 years; originally from a place called Chihuahua in Mexico, South America, but now found in most parts of the world
Special Features:
It is believed to be the cross between the small dog in Mexico and the small dog breed from China.
It is the smallest domestic breed of dog, and is believed to have been popular since the time of Aztec civilization in South America.
According to the Guinness Book of World Records – 2007, Boo Boo, a 4 inch tall long-haired bitch (female) weighing only 675 grams, was named the World’s smallest living dog!

Chihuahuas have become popular lap-dogs because of their small size and funny looking face.
Chihuahuas are shown many times in several films, TV shows, and are mentioned even more times in books!
