a person with too much and too strong liking for military glory – for doing daring things in battles, risking one’s life, for fame;

a  person with a blind faith or blind belief and respect for him/herself or his/her own group or cause,

A ‘male chauvinist’ is a man who believes that the women are far less capable of doing things than men, and shows that feeling in his behaviour.

Lee is a chauvinist who likes to take any risk to get a pat on his shoulder.

Most women think that that this world is dominated by male chauvinists, but, on the contrary, there are equally good number, if not more, of female chauvinists, also called feminists, who make the life of their male partners miserable.

Everybody knows that Betty is a chauvinist and talks only of her beliefs and her loyalty to her community.
