a cad, being harsh with a woman

 

a man who does not behave well — honourably, honestly and responsibly — with others, especially the one who is not polite with or caring for women;
a scoundrel;
a servant at a school or other educational institution;
also a local boy in a town,

e.g.

Robin is such a cad that no girl likes to go out with him; he doesn’t even open doors for ladies!

The cad at our school is a nice fellow; he runs errands to anyone who is good with him.

‘CAD’, always in capital letters, is “computer-aided design”.
