a kind of dog – short legs and stocky with a short tail; only 15 inches tall at the shoulder and weighs 5-7 Kg.; relatively long brown fur (hair/coat); feeds mainly on ‘paca’, a two-foot rodent (rodent = a rat like animal); lives in grasslands and wooded areas with water in the Central and South America

Special Features:
A bushdog is a rare and secretive animal.

It is a very good swimmer as it has webbed feet (not exactly but similar to that of a duck)!

Some domesticated bushdogs are trained to bring back things that are thrown in water.
