bully-boy:
(also without a hyphen: ‘bullyboy’; plural: ‘bully-boys‘)
a big tough man whose job is to beat up people for somebody else; a goon,
bully-boys beating up an innocent man
Tom acted as a bully-boy for a political leader for some time, but gave up beating innocent people when he saw his son fighting with others boys in the neighbourhood.
The big bosses in organised crimes usually send their bully-boys to stop journalists and news reporters from exposing them to the public, and these bully-boys threaten them with dire consequences and frighten them into submission.
