a woman, usually a young woman, who is about to be married or has just married,

a Jewish bride (R) with her groom (L)
e.g.

In some societies, a bride is not supposed to look at the bridegroom when she and her husband are in a gathering with the other members of the family.

A woman is called a bride before or at her wedding and, once the ceremony is over, she becomes a wife.

Some unfortunate child brides are so young that they have no idea about what is going on and nobody asks them what they think of the whole ceremony of wedding.

Note: ‘Bride’, always with a capital “B” and with a different pronunciation in which it rhymes with the word “braid”, also called Saint ‘Bride Brigid’, was an Irish abbess (AD 453 — 523).
