Apart from several other meanings/definitions…

a person who makes others lose interest in him/her by continuous dull talk;

a drag,

a bore (R) boring his listener (L) with his boring talk

e.g.

Our History teacher is a bore.

Nikki sometimes feels that her grandpa is an old bore!

I can’t stand those lectures where a team of bores, the so called lecturers, go on talking one after the other on topics that don’t have any real value or substance.
