a person, not a qualified doctor, who has experience in putting people’s broken or dislocated bones back in place,

a Nigerian bonesetter (M), setting his patient's broken leg

e.g.

Though there are orthopaedists available in hospitals, some people still believe and approach the traditional bonesetters to get their broken bones set.

Believe it or not, there are some experienced traditional bonesetters who can set broken bones more easily and more quickly than the qualified and trained orthopaedists!
