Special Features:

a bloodhound following a scent

It has a very keen (good) sense of smell, and so is bred for tracking criminals, lost persons, etc.  It is used extensively in police work.  It can follow a scent (the particular smell of a person or animal) even the scent is of 100 hours old, and can follow it for 100 miles without getting tired.

Bloodhound’s evidence is accepted in courts of law!

It is very gentle and patient; and therefore, has become a popular pet. Children can be left with it without worry.  The drooping ears and the loose skin on its face gives it a sad look.  But outdoors it is very active.
