‘Blondie’ is an affectionate way of calling a blond/blonde.
Language Usage: ‘blonde’, with the same pronunciation, is used for a girl or woman with blond hair, but this difference in spelling is disappearing; in the present usage, ‘blond’, without an ‘e’, is used for both male and female person.
Note: ‘Blond’ is more commonly used as an adjective to refer to people with blond hair or hair that is light in colour.
Note: ‘White or silver’ coloured hair because of old age is called ‘grey hair’ in general, e.g. ‘Though he was sixty, he looked strong and healthy, and the only indication that he was old was his grey hair’. ‘She has grey hair’. ‘A grey-haired old man walked towards me and asked for the way to the station.’
