blockhead:

a foolish/brainless man;

a dolt; a dunderhead; a bonehead; a loggerhead,

a classic blockhead, sawing off the branch he sits on

e.g.

Sandra is a typical blockhead; she doesn’t understand even simple things, such as placing a pan in the right position on a stove.

There are two types of blockheads, one the learned blockheads and the other ignorant blockheads, and the ignorant blockhead is the lesser of the two evils!

From the way he talks about the computers, Robert may seem to be a blockhead, but when it comes to operating one, he’s a genius.
