a bitch (noun)  =

(a) a bad-tempered, unpleasant woman

(b) an immoral woman; a slut (a woman who has sex with several men just for fun or out of addiction)

(c) a man who is weak and in a bad condition so that you can make him do as you like (just like a slave)

(d) a complaint

(e) a difficult or unpleasant situation

(f) an exciting situation; a very good thing or situation you love to remember

2.

to bitch (verb)  =

(a) to complain continually

(b) to act or speak rudely and/or unfairly in order to hurt others

(c) to spoil or mess up something

3.

bitch-and-pups  =  {very old usage} a kind of builder’s (mason’s) hammer with two chisels

4.

the hasty bitch brings forth blind whelps [a proverb saying that if you work in a hurry you will have half success only] (‘whelp’ = puppy)

5.

life is a bitch [a saying used to express that (one’s) life is difficult, having lots 0f problems]

6.

to bitch (something) up  =  to spoil or mess up or ruin something

7.

son of a bitch (an expression used for insulting a man – not to be used in formal situations)

Note: ‘Bitch’ is, in slang usage, more commonly used to refer to a woman with a bad character and behaviour, or used as an insult to a woman who is not necessarily with bad character, e.g. “My manager is a bitch! I wonder how she knows all that goes on in our office without having to leave her cabin!!
