A bibliographer is very essential in libraries.

A bibliographer’s job involves a lot of research and consultation with many writers, journalists; besides, occasional visits to museums and auction halls to gather first-hand information on a particular subject take them out to new and strange places.

Most university libraries have a librarian and a bibliographer on their library staff  to run their libraries efficiently.
