a person who shares a bed (not for sex and not necessarily homosexuals) with another person; a bedmate;

a companion; a temporary associate,

e.g.

Tom and Jerry used to be good bedfellows, but, of lately, something has happened and they seem to be a pair of uneasy bedfellows.

To the delight of everyone on the team, the new captain and the old coach made excellent bedfellows!

A more common meaning of ‘bedfellow’ is ‘a person or policy that is closely associated or has good relations with another’, usually used in a negative sense, e.g. ‘Politics makes a long-lasting bedfellow with racism.’ and ‘Bob Geldof and the Tories may well prove rather odd bedfellows.’ (from sentence.yourdictionary.com)
