a kind of fish (pike-like fish) – large and fierce, grows up to 4.8 feet (1.5m) on average and great barracuda grows up to 6 feet; streamlined body with pointed head and sharp overlapping teeth – lower jaw longer than the upper jaw; 26 species (kinds) found all over the warm tropical sea waters

It is popular as a food and sport fish – people catch it for food and fun. It is very aggressive (angry) and may be danger to swimmers – there are some incidents where barracuda attacks killed people.
