barman/bartender:

a barman at work

a man whose job is to mix and service drinks (brandy, whiskey, beer, etc.) in/at a bar or in a pub (public house), usually serving from behind the bar counter;

 

(old usage) a barkeep or barkeeper; a mixologist,

e.g.

A barman who is skilled at mixing cocktail drinks is called a mixologist.

It is the barman’s responsibility to check if the customer he services alcoholic drinks is a major, i.e. the customer is of twenty-one years old.

Most of the barmen at ordinary bars and pubs are students who try to earn a couple of dollars while they study at some nearby college or university.
