“Ballet” (the letter ‘t’ is silent) means ‘a kind of dance performance with graceful body movements but without song or speech’,
- ballet dancers
e.g.
A female ballet dancer is called a ballerina.
- a balloter putting in a ballot (paper) in a ballot box in a secret ballot election
“Ballot” means ‘the system of electing some representative by secret voting; and a piece of paper the voter used in a secret voting’,
e.g.
The voters (balloters) mark their ballots and put them in the ballot-boxes.
