e.g.

When an author is encouraged by the success of his/her first book, he/she continues to write another book, usually the sequel to the first one.

Most fiction story authors make it known to everyone that the characters in their stories are fictional and are not intended to represent any living or dead persons in their disclaimer.

Each author has a style of writing of his/her own, and a regular reader can often recognise the author of that book just by reading the first chapter.

Note: ‘Auctorial’ or ‘authorial’ is an adjective that refers to issues related to an ‘author’.
