anthropologist:

(plural: ‘anthropologists‘; pronunciation: the letter ‘g’ is said with a ‘j’ sound as in “judge”)

‘anthropology’ = the science that deals with the origins, cultural diversity, development of mankind – biological characteristics, social customs, beliefs of people

a person who studies and becomes an expert on anthropology,

There are different kinds of anthropologists: social anthropologists, forensic anthropologist, migration anthropologists, and so on.

The social anthropologists do a lot of field work, visiting the present day people of the remote areas and then trying to form a theory on how people of a particular area lived in the past, what they ate, what culture and language they had and where they migrated to.

Forensic anthropologists help the police in solving mysterious crimes by studying, for example, the remains of a dead body.
